The Project Engineer, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) position is onsite in Norcross, GA, with a stated salary of $70,000–$89,000 per year. CMES, Inc.’s Smart Road Technology division supports roadway technology and heavy highway infrastructure projects across Metro Atlanta and the Southeast. The engineer assists the project manager across estimating and operations, helping prepare bids and project documents, coordinate materials and subcontractors, and resolve field issues. The role contributes to delivery of roadway technology, traffic signal, and highway lighting projects.

What you'll do

• Prepare quantity takeoffs, estimate setups, bid documents, and subcontractor quote requests
• prepare profiles, cross sections, and drawings
• coordinate purchase orders, subcontracts, and materials
• prepare RFIs, change orders, and submittals
• verify and submit completed work quantities
• work with the superintendent to resolve onsite field issues
• be available for project site work as needed.
