Cook and Bus Monitor

The Cook and Bus Monitor role is onsite in Long Beach, WA, Monday through Friday during daytime hours, 30 hours per week during the school year. Compensation is $22 per hour. Educational Opportunities for Children and Families works to connect, empower, and transform the lives of children and families. The role combines meal preparation for pre-K children with bus supervision. It helps provide meals that account for food allergies and supports children’s safe transitions between the bus, families, and classroom.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals from a planned menu, including separate meals for children with food allergies
• stock supplies
• shop for groceries
• maintain equipment and documentation
• ride the bus with the driver
• help children buckle and unbuckle
• communicate with parents
• sign children in and out using agency software
• and help move children between the bus and classroom.
