Mental Health Specialist II

The Mental Health Specialist II role is onsite in Spring Valley, MN. Pay is $24 per hour. The position supports Dungarvin’s Acute Behavioral Services group homes for people with complex mental health and behavioral needs. The specialist provides person-centered support focused on safety, engagement, and skill-building. By following individual plans, documenting services, monitoring behavioral changes, and coordinating with the care team, the role helps residents work toward their goals in a structured living environment.

What you'll do

• Provide direct support using person-centered approaches
• follow behavior and treatment plans and crisis-prevention strategies
• use de-escalation and trained manual restraint procedures when necessary
• assist with daily living skills, household tasks, activities, transportation, and community engagement
• document services and observations
• monitor behavioral changes and communicate concerns
• support appointments and medication tasks as allowed
• follow medical and nutrition plans
• participate in team meetings and assist with new staff training.

Why this role
