Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Wilkes-Barre, PA, with compensation of $20–$30 per hour. The position supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations by maintaining facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure. The technician performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and supports installation and commissioning. By documenting work and coordinating with Production and Operations, the role helps reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

What you'll do

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
• troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• inspect equipment and escalate potential failures or safety concerns
• respond to work orders and document work, parts, and time in the CMMS if applicable
• assist with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning
• interpret manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions
• operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
• maintain a clean and safe work area
• support reliability and downtime-reduction improvements
• coordinate with Production and Operations
• follow safety policies including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements
• participate in on-call rotations or overtime as required.
