Rest Area Attendant

Job overview

The Rest Area Attendant role is onsite in Fort Myers, FL, with pay of $14 per hour. DCS Asset Maintenance provides infrastructure and maintenance contracting services to state departments of transportation, railroads, and other customers. The attendant helps keep a rest area neat, clean, safe, and operational for the traveling public. The work includes routine facility checks and cleaning, replenishing supplies, reporting concerns, and performing basic maintenance to support public convenience and safety.

What you'll do

• Maintain a clean and operational rest area
• follow safety policies and Florida Department of Transportation procedures
• assist the traveling public
• report vandalism, theft, accidents, suspicious activity, and other concerns
• check restrooms at least every two hours and replenish supplies
• keep storage areas secure
• remove debris from grounds, parking lots, and walkways
• use hand and power tools for required maintenance
• report needed repairs.
