Registered Nurse (RN), PCU/Stepdown

The Registered Nurse (RN), PCU/Stepdown role is onsite in Cleveland, OH, and pays $60–$70 per hour for travelers or $60–$65 per hour for local candidates. The contract assignment is 13 weeks, with 18 weeks also accepted, and supports cardiac and medical-surgical patients in the PCU/Stepdown setting. The nurse provides direct care, assesses patients, develops care plans, monitors telemetry, administers medications, documents care, and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The role also requires floating to designated units within the same patient population and working rotating day and night shifts, 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with every other holiday required.

What you'll do

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU/Stepdown cardiac and medical-surgical patients
• assess patients and develop individualized care plans
• monitor telemetry and recognize ECG rhythm changes
• administer medications and therapeutic interventions
• document patient care
• follow evidence-based practices and safety standards
• collaborate with healthcare teams
• float to designated units and the Emergency Department as required.

Why this role

Requires an active Ohio or compact RN license, AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and at least 12 months of permanent RN experience in the specialty. PCU/Stepdown experience is preferred.
