The Tool and Die Maker — Night Shift role is onsite in Grand Rapids, MI, Monday through Friday, 4:15 p.m.–2:45 a.m.; the schedule may vary based on shift. Compensation is not specified. Advanced Tooling Systems makes and repairs metalworking tools and dies to customer specifications. The maker fabricates, repairs, and modifies dies, jigs, gauges, and tools by interpreting specifications, operating machine tools, fitting parts, and verifying dimensions. The role follows tools through production and testing to ensure they meet required specifications.

What you'll do

• Analyze specifications and plan fabrication sequences
• set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools
• fit and assemble parts
• fabricate, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools
• conduct test runs and make adjustments
• verify dimensions and clearances
• maintain tools and calibration
• follow safety rules and keep the work area clean.
