Senior Payroll Accountant

The role supports Southland Industries’ multi-state union and non-union payrolls, with a primary focus on supporting the Union Lead Accountant. The position helps ensure accurate, compliant payroll through CBA interpretation support, reconciliations, audits, and advanced Excel automation. It improves payroll controls and efficiency while coordinating with payroll, HR, accounting, IT, and operations.

What you'll do

• Support weekly multi-state union payroll processing and CBA requirements
• review wage rates, classifications, overtime, benefits, and deductions
• assist with union reporting, audits, prevailing wage, and certified payroll
• reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies
• develop Excel macros, automated tools, templates, and reports
• support payroll system testing and process improvements.
