The Electrical Commissioning Technician I role is onsite in Frederick, MD, with compensation of $39.50 per hour. M.C. Dean designs, builds, operates, and maintains electrical, security, telecommunications, life safety, automation, audiovisual, and IT systems for mission-critical facilities and infrastructure. This entry-level technician assists with testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision. The work supports safe, reliable commissioning by helping experienced technicians inspect field construction, prepare and test equipment, and document inspection activity.

What you'll do

• Assist with testing and maintenance of site and field equipment
• support installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and wiring
• perform basic equipment testing, moving, and adjustments
• assist with field construction inspections for compliance with NETA specifications and plans
• maintain inspection records
• apply basic mathematics, measuring-device knowledge, and safety procedures including LOTO
• prepare equipment for testing as directed
• assist with load banks using proper PPE
• participate in Operational Risk Management meetings.
