Group Therapist

The Group Therapist role is onsite in McKinney, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Compensation is $63,000–$65,000 per year. Connections Wellness Group provides mental health services, including Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs. The therapist provides psychotherapy and counseling for patients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Through group and individual sessions, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the role supports symptom reduction, coping skills, and patients’ longer-term wellness.

What you'll do

• Facilitate individual and group therapy, including psychoeducational and process groups
• participate in treatment, discharge, transition, and after-care planning
• provide family counseling when therapeutically necessary
• communicate with clients, families, referral sources, and the interdisciplinary team
• complete assessments and documentation
• support crisis intervention and de-escalation
• follow HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements. Requires a master’s degree in social work or counseling, an active LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, or LPC license, CPR certification, and Avade training during orientation.
