Job overview

The Medical Biller and Coder role is onsite in Kings Mountain, NC, with compensation of $18–$21 per hour. The role supports Carley Family Care’s healthcare team. The biller and coder helps ensure accurate, compliant coding and billing and timely reimbursement for patient services. The work includes claims processing, payment posting, accounts receivable follow-up, and coordination with providers, office staff, insurers, and patients.

What you'll do

• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• enter charges and submit claims
• verify coding accuracy and compliance
• resolve denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies
• post payments and adjustments
• monitor accounts receivable
• communicate with insurers
• maintain patient and billing information
• assist with insurance verification and authorizations
• conduct billing and coding audits
• respond to patient billing inquiries.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED is required. One to two years of medical billing and coding experience is preferred; CPC, CCS, or another coding certification is preferred but not required.
