What you'll do

• Administer production SQL Server databases, including backups, restore verification, performance tuning, maintenance, security, monitoring, and patch coordination
• administer MariaDB supporting the on-premises ServiceNow instance on RHEL servers
• maintain database inventories, configuration and retention documentation, and tested recovery procedures
• follow change management and document administrative actions
• support database incidents and participate in an on-call rotation if applicable
• maintain legacy environments through decommissioning, backups, and archival
• support cloud migration activities if included in scope.

Why this role

Requires five or more years administering production SQL Server databases, Linux command-line experience with MariaDB or MySQL, PowerShell and Windows Server experience, automation scripting, a DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II baseline certification or ability to obtain it, and an active DoD Secret clearance or ability to meet contract requirements. Minimal travel is to be confirmed.
