What you'll do

• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• submit authorization and referral requests with required documentation
• follow up with insurers for timely approvals
• maintain records of requests, communications, denials, and payer requirements
• coordinate with providers and staff to gather medical documentation and coding information
• follow applicable laws and internal policies
• assist with appeals
• respond to patient and insurer inquiries.
