Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time Nights in Mandan, ND. This is an onsite position with a salary range of $26.00 - $36.00 per hour. Good Samaritan has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors. This role provides professional nursing care for residents under the supervision of a registered nurse or other advanced practitioners. The LPN utilizes the nursing process to deliver age-appropriate care, administer medications, and contribute to resident safety and well-being.

What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents.
• Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public.
• Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
• Develop a self-care program for residents.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

Experience

Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
