The Dietary Cook role is onsite in Winchester, VA, with compensation of $17–$18 per hour based on experience. Winchester Health and Rehab is hiring a cook to prepare meals for residents. The cook prepares food according to menus, recipes, and dietary requirements, maintains safe food handling and sanitary kitchen conditions, and coordinates with the dietary team to support timely meal service and a positive dining experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
• follow recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation guidelines
• prepare meals for residents’ nutritional and special dietary needs
• store and serve food safely at proper temperatures
• maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen
• assist with meal service
• monitor supplies and communicate reorder needs
• work with the Dietary Manager and team.
