The Principal Facility Security Officer (FSO) role is onsite in Fairfax, VA, with an annual salary range of $87,000–$144,000. Trident Systems develops aerospace electronic systems and supports Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civil space customers. The FSO leads the company’s security function and daily security operations, ensuring compliance with industrial security requirements, including work up to SCI-level projects. The role protects classified information and supports program teams through security administration, training, inspections, and coordination with government and internal stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Administer the industrial security program in line with NISPOM, DCSA guidance, and government customer requirements
• liaise with DCSA, government security representatives, and internal leadership
• manage personnel security actions and government security system records
• maintain facility security policies, procedures, and training
• oversee classified document control and secure areas
• support inspections, audits, and corrective actions
• process classified visit certifications and foreign travel/security reporting
• help program teams implement DD254 requirements
• support insider threat activities
• travel or work off-site as needed.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined education and experience, 9+ years of industrial security or related security management experience (or 7+ years with a graduate degree), FSO or Assistant FSO experience in a cleared defense contractor environment, and an active U.S. DoD Secret clearance.
