The Maintenance Technician role is an onsite, full-time position in Quincy, MA, paying $25–$29 per hour depending on experience. The regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with on-call duties shared on rotation. Maloney Properties manages more than 100 housing communities and over 10,000 units across New England. The technician maintains apartments and residential common areas, completes work orders, and prepares units for new residents. The role supports safe, functional housing by coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance, contractors, and communication with property and facilities managers.

What you'll do

• Perform in-unit repairs and preventive maintenance
• prepare apartments for new resident occupancy
• complete work orders involving light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance
• provide access to and supervise contractors as needed
• maintain grounds, exterior, and common areas
• update the Yardi mobile app and communicate project status and maintenance needs to the Maintenance Superintendent, Facilities Manager, and Property Manager.

Why this role

Requires general apartment repair knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work; computer and smartphone skills; a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; and bilingual English/Mandarin or Cantonese ability. Yardi or other work-order-system experience is a plus. The role reports to other Quincy residential sites 1–2 days per week and to Holbrook or Boston sites occasionally.
