Job overview

The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Opelika, AL, with standard hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. Integrea Community Mental Health System’s mission-driven team serves consumers and the community through mental health care. The CMA supports a multidisciplinary mental health team by combining clinical, administrative, and patient-centered services to keep clinic operations smooth, promote a safe therapeutic environment, and support the patient experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients for evaluations by obtaining vital signs, medication lists, and health history
• assist providers with examinations, procedures, and crisis-related clinical tasks within scope
• conduct routine screenings
• maintain exam rooms and supplies
• support medication management
• schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• document encounters in the EHR
• handle patient communications, insurance verification, and forms
• protect confidentiality
• provide trauma-informed interactions and patient education under provider guidance
• monitor safety and coordinate care.
