The Lifeguard role is an onsite, part-time position in Rockford, MI, with pay of $15 per hour. The role is part of MVP Sports Clubs’ Aquatics Department, supporting safety at its aquatic facility. The Lifeguard helps protect facility members by monitoring the pool, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies. The role also includes facility inspections, water chemistry testing, member communication, aquatic-area upkeep, records, and promoting swim lessons and other aquatics programs; teaching lessons applies with a valid Water Safety Instructor certification.

What you'll do

• Enforce pool rules and applicable policies
• scan and monitor the pool
• respond to emergencies and coordinate an EAP response
• wear required rescue equipment
• inspect the aquatic facility and report unsafe conditions
• communicate and log member concerns
• maintain aquatic areas and restrooms
• conduct water chemistry tests
• maintain records
• promote aquatics programs
• teach swim lessons with a valid Water Safety Instructor certification
• attend training.
