What you'll do

• Provide face-to-face interpretation between Rohingya- or Burmese-speaking patients and healthcare providers
• accurately convey medical information, including diagnoses, treatment plans, medication instructions, and informed consent discussions
• maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA
• assist patients with healthcare navigation, appointments, follow-up care, and referrals
• translate medical documents and educational materials between English and Rohingya/Burmese as needed
• act as a cultural liaison
• maintain professional boundaries and impartiality
• stay current on medical terminology, interpreter ethics, and best practices.

Why this role
