The Generative AI Application Engineer, Learning & Development position is onsite in San Diego, CA. Compensation is $160,000–$250,000 per year. Shield AI develops intelligent systems intended to protect service members and civilians; this role is embedded in the Hivemind Learning & Development team. The engineer builds AI-powered learning products and content systems that help technical teams learn Hivemind and apply it effectively. The work combines production AI engineering, developer experience, and technical education to improve learning materials, workshops, and evidence of training outcomes.

What you'll do

• Develop an AI-powered training coach for Hivemind concepts, products, and workflows
• create technical training materials and hands-on workshops
• build prompt-based tools that generate workshops and learning content from objectives, audiences, and source materials
• create LLM-based tools to update and improve training materials
• build AI systems that streamline and automate Learning & Development workflows.
