Child & Youth Advocate

The Child & Youth Advocate role is onsite in Mariposa, CA, at $20–$25 per hour. Alliance for Community Transformations’ Youth & Family Services team primarily supports CASA of Mariposa, with additional support for the Mariposa Family Resource Center and Grit & Grace. The advocate supports children and youth involved in the child welfare system through consistent relationships, case advocacy, resource connections, and coordination with caregivers and service providers. The role also contributes to community outreach and program operations; the position is grant-funded, with current funding secured through June 30, 2027, and future funding not guaranteed.

What you'll do

• Maintain an assigned CASA caseload
• build relationships with children and youth through visits and communication
• advocate for safety, well-being, permanency, and best interests
• connect youth with resources
• collaborate with caregivers, social workers, schools, and service providers
• attend authorized hearings and meetings
• complete case documentation
• participate in outreach, presentations, volunteer recruitment, and program support
• assist with family engagement, referrals, events, retail operations, marketing, and social media
• travel throughout Mariposa County and surrounding communities.
