The Utility Line Locator role is onsite in Odessa, TX, with compensation of $20.50–$28.31 per hour. The City of Odessa’s Utilities GIS Field Operations supports water distribution and wastewater collection infrastructure. The role locates and marks underground utility lines, manages 811 tickets, and gathers field information to improve GIS mapping. It also supports safe field operations and responds to emergency requests, including after-hours requests.

What you'll do

• Locate, inspect, and mark underground water, sewer, and reuse utility lines using the 811 ticket system
• manage and complete tickets by their due dates
• verify field information and communicate updates
• collect field data on mains, valves, manholes, hydrants, and meters for GIS mapping
• follow safety requirements and operate light machinery
• respond to emergency requests during normal and after-hours periods.
