What you'll do
- Work with the cook on recommended changes and menu planning for regular and special diets prescribed by attending physicians
- ensure food is available for preparation
- respond to dietary emergencies and document observations, interventions, and outcomes
- assist with food quality and quantity methods
- help identify service improvements
- assist with food preparation
- serve meals according to menus, portion controls, therapeutic diets, and sanitary regulations
- inspect diet trays
- clean kitchen areas and equipment
- report equipment or supply disrepair.
