The Manufacturing Technician – Optical and Photonics Assembly role is onsite in Traverse City, MI. Compensation is $18.50–$27.50 per hour. Attalon’s Traverse City campus manufactures and develops optical isolators, photodetectors, and laser solutions. The technician performs detailed assembly of small components to quality standards, supporting production of optical and electro-mechanical products. The work includes following controlled instructions and cleanroom procedures, using precision tools and test equipment, and documenting production and repair activity.

What you'll do

• Perform electronic or electro-mechanical assembly and setup work to blueprint tolerances
• use microscopes, hand tools, and other specified equipment
• follow cleanroom and safety procedures
• clean and handle optics and crystals
• use solvents and adhesives to clean and fasten optical and mechanical parts
• follow procedures for engineering changes and nonconforming products
• transact work orders in Oracle and Cumulus
• monitor in-process parts
• prepare products for shipment
• and repair and document returned products.
