The Purchasing Manager role is onsite in Lincoln, RI, with compensation of $80,000–$100,000 per year. The position supports Greystone of Lincoln’s Machining Division and Purchasing / Supply Chain department. The manager leads technical sourcing and procurement for the plant, balancing supplier capability, quality, cost, and lead-time risk. The role partners with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to support production needs and technical supplier decisions.

What you'll do

• Lead sourcing and procurement of raw materials, tooling, outside services, and capital equipment
• manage supplier performance and address adverse trends
• analyze supplier price and lead-time changes
• qualify alternate suppliers
• partner with engineering on tooling, make-versus-buy, and equipment decisions
• work with Quality on corrective actions and nonconforming materials
• manage MRP-driven purchasing in the ERP system
• negotiate pricing and agreements
• manage purchasing budgets and report spend and supplier risk
• ensure purchasing practices meet applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

Why this role
