The Events Specialist role is an onsite, full-time position in Cincinnati, OH. Pay is $25.33–$31.67 per hour. The role is part of Great Parks’ Special Events team, delivering community-facing events and milestone celebrations. The specialist helps take events from concept through evaluation, coordinating design, venues, logistics, vendors, staffing, guest experience, and sponsorship fulfillment. This work supports Great Parks’ regional visibility and helps deliver organized outdoor experiences for the community.

What you'll do

• Oversee event planning and execution from ideation through post-event evaluation
• coordinate thematic design, venues, décor, printed materials, guest experience, and sponsorship fulfillment
• arrange setup and teardown, supplies, vendors, staff, and volunteers
• serve as an onsite event lead
• coordinate with internal teams
• support vendor contracts and required documentation
• recruit volunteers with the volunteer department
• assist with event budgets, marketing materials, signage, and web content
• support training, cash handling, and event evaluation
• work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
