Service Technician — Automated Gates and Access Control

The Service Technician — Automated Gates and Access Control role is an onsite field position serving the Albuquerque, NM area. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour depending on experience. Scott’s Fencing Co. serves residential, commercial, and large-scale fencing customers and operates a gate division for automated entry systems. The technician installs, maintains, and repairs automated gate operators and access control systems, combining mechanical work, basic electrical troubleshooting, and customer interaction to keep equipment operating properly.

What you'll do

• Perform service calls and installations at residential and commercial properties
• install and maintain gate operators and access control equipment
• inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage issues
• trace wiring and circuits
• run conduit, pull wire, and make low-voltage connections
• dig, trench, and set posts when required
• test and troubleshoot systems
• complete final inspections
• communicate with customers and project teams
• maintain a safe work area
• and document completed work and additional needs.
