CDL B Driver - Home Nightly in Manatee County, FL. This is a full-time, onsite position with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and a $1,500 sign-on bonus. PODS is a leading provider of moving and storage solutions. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of containers to and from customer locations. The driver will operate a commercial truck with a specialized lift mechanism, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain customer rapport.

What you'll do

• Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers
• Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections
• Accept add-on deliveries
• Use company handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation
• Operate a forklift and/or an overhead crane
• Clean and inspect containers
• Coordinate rental paperwork and payment
• Communicate with Driver Lead or Market Manager
• Perform repairs of containers and lifts
• Provide backup for storage center functions
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab.

What we're looking for

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 3 months of experience employed as a CDL driver; Must maintain a current/valid CDL A or B; Must be at least 21 years of age.
