Folklorico Program Leader – Hawthorne

The Folklorico Program Leader role is onsite in Hawthorne, CA. Through progressive instruction and performance-based learning, the role supports participants’ dance skills, confidence, discipline, and cultural pride.

What you'll do

• Teach Folklorico dance, including regional choreography, rhythm, footwork, skirt work, arm movement, and partner choreography
• plan age-appropriate lessons over a 6–8 week program cycle
• prepare participants for showcases or community performances
• maintain a safe and inclusive environment
• monitor attendance and engagement
• collaborate on culminating events
• request materials
• follow safety protocols and attend required staff development training.
