Job overview
The Nondestructive Testing Technician role is onsite in Warren, MI; compensation is not specified. The position reports to the Quality Manager. MB Aerospace provides engineering solutions and supports complex aero-engine component manufacture and repair. The technician processes and evaluates welded and machined components using fluorescent penetrant inspection and other nondestructive testing methods. The role applies customer and engineering requirements, operates inspection equipment, performs process checks and calibrations, records results, and works with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve quality and processes.
What you'll do
- Review and implement customer requirements, engineering drawings, process specifications, and industry standards
- develop and maintain processes and test procedures
- operate X-ray equipment and interpret film
- process hardware through the fluorescent penetrant inspection line and interpret results
- perform process control checks and calibrations
- investigate technologies and process improvements
- collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel
- provide guidance to other NDT technicians
- maintain accurate measurements and records
- comply with applicable regulations and ITAR requirements.
