The Assistant Director, Childcare is an onsite role in Woodbridge, VA, at Merit School Learning Center at The Glen. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The role supports the center’s education and care programs and day-to-day operations. Working with the Center Director, the Assistant Director helps maintain a successful childcare center through staff support, administration, enrollment, family relations, and operational oversight. The role contributes to a nurturing learning environment and compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

What you'll do

• Assist the Center Director with daily education and care program operations
• communicate with parents, teachers, cooks, bus drivers, contractors, and maintenance personnel
• support training, scheduling, and new-staff orientation
• assist with enrollment, billing, tuition collection, marketing, public relations, and parent relations
• oversee bookkeeping with the Center Director
• support center quality and compliance.
