Director of Development

The Director of Development role is onsite in Long Beach, CA. Expected starting compensation is $90,000–$105,000 annually. Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson provides young people a safe environment, adult mentors, and outcome-based programs that support lifelong learning. The Director grows individual and corporate giving, leads annual giving and fundraising-event strategies, and supervises Development staff. The role builds donor relationships and sustainable fundraising pipelines, using performance data to advance the organization’s revenue goals and youth-focused mission.

What you'll do

• Manage individual donor and prospect portfolios
• develop annual giving campaigns and donor-engagement strategies
• lead fundraising events, including the Blue Door Bash
• develop corporate giving and sponsorship opportunities
• supervise the Development Manager and Development Coordinator
• maintain donor records and monitor fundraising performance
• coordinate with the Vice President of Development & Marketing, CEO, board members, and other staff.
