What you'll do

• preregister patients for admissions and outpatient procedures
• obtain authorizations and verify insurance eligibility

• explain billing, patient rights, policies, and visiting hours
• coordinate with other departments
• collect and record applicable payments
• maintain documentation and confidentiality
• answer calls and communicate information to appropriate personnel.
