Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Job overview

The Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist role is onsite in Albany, NY, for 20 hours per week. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour. The position is part of the Finance Department and reports to the Finance Manager. The specialist manages day-to-day accounts payable transactions, maintains accurate financial records, and provides general accounting support. The role also assists with accounts receivable activities and other financial operations as needed.

What you'll do

• Review, verify, approve, and enter vendor invoices in Sage Intacct
• prepare and process weekly check runs and other payments
• manage month-end accounts payable activities and process invoices by the 15th of each month
• reconcile petty cash and cash advances
• prepare monthly general ledger journal entries for the Finance Manager
• monitor outstanding invoices and communicate payment obligations and cash flow needs
• respond to vendor questions
• maintain records in Sage Intacct, SAP Concur, and Excel
• resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
• assist with external audit documentation requests.

Why this role
