Electrical Engineer, Industrial HVAC Controls

Job overview

The Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Baton Rouge, LA, with compensation of $110,000–$180,000 per year. Safe Air Technology manufactures mission-critical and explosion-proof HVAC systems. The engineer designs and supports electrical power and control systems from concept through production, helping ensure industrial HVAC equipment is functional, compliant, and ready for manufacture. The work spans design documentation, component selection, PLC configuration, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.

What you'll do

• Design electrical power and control systems for industrial HVAC and explosion-proof equipment
• develop wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and bills of material
• select electrical components
• program and configure PLCs and control systems
• ensure compliance with NEC, UL, NFPA, and hazardous-location requirements
• support panel fabrication, system integration, and shop testing
• troubleshoot electrical and control issues
• prepare technical documentation, submittals, and as-built drawings.

Why this role
