Compensation is $71,000–$134,000 annually. The role supports Orbital Engineering’s Utility Services Department and its utility and communication company partners. The engineer develops electric distribution designs and construction packages, reviews technical work, and coordinates with clients and project teams. The work supports safe, reliable utility infrastructure improvements and joint-use pole attachment and distribution design projects.

What you'll do

• Prepare overhead and underground distribution construction packages and assist with 2.4kV–34kV line design
• create and revise drawings and as-built documents
• assist with proposals, cost estimates, and schedules
• provide technical support and quality reviews
• prepare calculations and equipment specifications
• evaluate equipment and pole loading
• inspect and record field conditions
• apply NESC, client, and applicable government standards
• analyze field data and update software
• communicate project status and client design solutions
• document project accounting support
• travel overnight or for extended periods as project assignments require
• attend client-site meetings.
