Experienced Forklift Shop Mechanic

The Experienced Forklift Shop Mechanic role is onsite in Clermont, FL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; overtime may be needed. Pay is $25–$30 per hour. General Source Inc. provides equipment sales and service, and this role supports its sales and rental operations through shop repairs. The mechanic inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and prepares forklifts and related equipment for safe, reliable use. Accurate service records and efficient turnaround help customers and operations keep material-handling equipment available.

What you'll do

• Inspect, maintain, and repair forklifts and material-handling equipment
• troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• service engines, brakes, and transmissions on LP gas, diesel, and electric forklifts
• replace worn components
• document parts and labor
• maintain shop safety and cleanliness
• coordinate parts and job updates with the service manager.
