The Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Muskegon, MI, for the school year. Pay is $42.00–$56.00 per hour. The teacher supports students with disabilities through individualized instruction and collaboration with school staff and families. The role exists to address students’ diverse learning and behavioral needs and support their educational progress. The teacher develops and implements Individualized Education Programs, adapts instruction, monitors progress, and coordinates with general education teachers, therapists, support staff, and families.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs
• provide differentiated instruction in one-on-one, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings
• adapt lessons and curriculum
• assess and monitor student progress using data
• collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and parent-teacher conferences
• maintain records in compliance with Michigan Department of Education and IDEA requirements
• implement behavioral intervention plans and classroom management strategies.
