Chief Innovation Officer

Job overview

The Chief Innovation Officer role is onsite at Revolutional’s headquarters in McLean, VA, with flexibility for occasional remote work and regular travel to customer sites, industry events, and agency forums. Compensation is a base salary of $225,000–$300,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus and long-term incentive eligibility. Revolutional delivers technology solutions and mission support to federal agencies. The executive leads the company’s emerging-technology strategy and internal research and development investments, connecting technical innovation to contract wins and modernization outcomes. The role builds pathways from pilots to sustained programs while ensuring initiatives account for federal security, accessibility, and privacy requirements.

What you'll do

• Set the enterprise technology and innovation roadmap across AI and data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud, and infrastructure
• own IRAD priorities, budget, and return measures
• partner with Business Development and Capture on proposal solutions
• mature rapid prototyping and innovation lab capabilities
• build relationships with agency innovation offices, industry partners, and startups
• account for FISMA, FedRAMP, Section 508, and privacy requirements
• promote workforce innovation programs and technical training
• represent the company at industry and agency forums
• report progress and investment returns to executive leadership and the board.
