Field Technician — Sports Lighting

The Field Technician — Sports Lighting role is based at the Birmingham, Alabama office, with extensive field travel within the United States and at times abroad. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Musco’s Services Team in maintaining, repairing, and inspecting warranty products. The position exists to service lighting equipment and warranty projects safely and reliably. Field repairs, inspections, customer coordination, equipment operation, and reporting help maintain Musco products and support customers’ lighting projects.

What you'll do

• Maintain, repair, and inspect equipment and Musco warranty products
• perform warranty repairs that may involve ladders, aerial lifts, and climbing lighting poles or towers
• coordinate project timing and resources with customers and vendors
• communicate schedules with the Warranty Hub Manager
• inspect and safely operate assigned aerial equipment
• submit field reports and paperwork
• package and ship returned parts
• provide crew leadership when project management responsibility is assigned
• drive and operate Musco equipment on service projects.

Why this role

Extensive travel is required, about 200–220 days per year, with roughly 100–150 overnight stays; weekend and night work is required at times. Work may involve heights of 40–120 feet, aerial lifts, and climbing with approved fall protection.
