What you'll do

• Review medical records and clinical data
• explain procedures and provide patient support, comfort, safety, and confidentiality
• select equipment and imaging modalities
• position and prepare patients
• perform facility ultrasound examinations
• record preliminary results and measurements
• direct studies to radiologists and consult about unusual scans
• assist with invasive procedures as needed while maintaining sterile technique
• maintain equipment and quality-control procedures.
