The Registered Nurse (RN), Moderate Sedation – Ophthalmology role is onsite in Round Rock, TX. Pay is $48–$52 per hour. CareerNation is recruiting for a six-week outpatient ophthalmology assignment at a surgery center, scheduled Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The RN supports ophthalmology procedures requiring moderate or intravenous sedation, monitoring patients through procedures and recovery. The role contributes to safe care through assessment, medication administration, prompt response to changes in condition, accurate documentation, and coordination with physicians and the surgical team.

What you'll do

• Provide nursing care during ophthalmology procedures using moderate or intravenous sedation
• complete pre-procedure assessments and verify readiness
• establish and maintain IV access as applicable
• administer sedation medications according to orders and protocols
• monitor oxygenation, ventilation, circulation, vital signs, and consciousness
• respond to changes in condition
• maintain safety through recovery
• document procedures and medications
• assess readiness for discharge
• collaborate with physicians and the surgical team.
