Hospice Volunteer

What you'll do

• Serve as a member of the hospice interdisciplinary group
• complete orientation and relevant training
• support patients and families under Volunteer Coordinator and Registered Nurse guidance
• perform agreed-upon activities as a substitute family or caregiver
• provide input to the care plan as appropriate
• maintain privacy and confidentiality
• complete assignments
• document services
• communicate regularly with the Volunteer Coordinator. Possible duties include companionship, respite, light housekeeping, errands, meal preparation, and bereavement support.
