Authorization Representative

The Authorization Representative role is onsite in Albany, NY. The pay range is $22–$30 per hour. The representative helps prevent delays in patient care while supporting accurate claims, revenue integrity, and compliance. The role coordinates with patients, payers, prescribers, and internal teams to verify coverage, secure ongoing authorizations, and maintain complete records.

What you'll do

• Provide telephone support to patients, families, referral sources, payers, and clinical staff
• verify insurance coverage and benefits
• complete start-of-care and financial forms
• document cost-share and authorization details
• track authorization needs and expirations
• notify stakeholders of approvals or delays
• assist with claim rejection resolution
• protect patient health information under HIPAA.
