The Barista role is onsite at Mission College in Santa Clara, CA. Compensation is $20.50 per hour, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The barista supports the campus café and Thomas Cuisine’s REAL Food mission. The barista prepares beverages and provides efficient, welcoming service to students, faculty, and guests. Accurate transactions, sanitation, inventory support, and adherence to food-safety practices help deliver a consistent café experience.

What you'll do

• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages to standards
• serve students, faculty, and campus guests
• operate POS systems and process transactions
• maintain workstation and equipment cleanliness
• assist with inventory, restocking, and opening and closing
• support café events and campus activities
• follow food-handling and safety rules.

Why this role

Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; prior barista or food-service experience preferred but not required; ServSafe certification or Food Handler’s Card required or willingness to obtain upon hire; high school diploma or GED preferred.
