Water Treatment Operator or Operator in Training is an onsite role in Colstrip, MT, with rotating 12-hour shifts or day shifts as assigned. The operator runs and monitors water treatment systems to support plant operations during normal conditions, upsets, start-ups, and shutdowns. The work includes safe equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and communication of system status to operations colleagues.

What you'll do

• Operate water treatment systems
• take readings and monitor equipment
• safely shut down and isolate systems for maintenance and line up and start equipment
• train or assist in training apprentices and JITs
• communicate equipment and system status to CROs, LPOs, and the Shift Supervisor
• maintain clean work areas
• complete WTOT training program requirements when hired as an operator in training.
