Early Literacy Instructional Lead

The Early Literacy Instructional Lead role is hybrid, based in Houston, TX, with reports to the central office or schools three days a week; compensation is not specified. The role leads statewide early literacy strategy and implementation to improve student growth and achievement across PreK–3 classrooms. It supports Reading Academies, coaches educators and instructional leaders, analyzes student and school data, and guides professional learning and literacy program improvements.

What you'll do

• Lead implementation of statewide literacy priorities and Reading Academies cohorts
• coach teachers and instructional leaders
• analyze student-, teacher-, school-, and regional-level data
• develop and manage literacy pilots
• support professional learning plans
• plan and lead virtual and in-person literacy professional development
• maintain curriculum feedback cycles with the Foundational Literacy and Instructional Excellence team.
