The Lead Audio-Visual Technician role is onsite in Boca Raton, FL, with projects primarily from Fort Lauderdale to Jupiter. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour. The role supports a custom integration company serving luxury residential clients with smart home technology, lighting control, networking, security, audio/video, and automation. The lead technician takes residential projects from final trim through commissioning and client handoff, overseeing assigned job sites and junior technicians. The work combines system configuration, installation, troubleshooting, quality checks, customer training, and ongoing service to deliver reliable integrated systems and maintain client relationships.

What you'll do

• Lead residential AV, lighting control, networking, and automation installations from final trim through completion
• deploy and configure networks
• program and commission Control4, Lutron, and Crestron Home systems
• test, troubleshoot, and perform quality assurance
• conduct customer walkthroughs and training as needed
• mentor junior technicians
• review project documentation and communicate discrepancies
• install or troubleshoot security systems when required
• assist with pre-wire, trim, rack building, camera installation, conduit work, and other field tasks as needed
• maintain organized work areas and represent the company professionally.
