The IT Security Analyst Intern role is onsite in Bloomington, MN, at Geronimo Power’s headquarters. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. The internship is for Summer 2027 and supports the company’s Information Technology team as it develops and operates power and digital infrastructure projects. The intern assists with cybersecurity operations, risk management, compliance, and security monitoring to help protect corporate systems, cloud platforms, and business operations. The position provides practical exposure to security monitoring, vulnerability management, access controls, incident response, and security practices.

What you'll do

• Assist with monitoring security alerts, investigating potential threats, and documenting findings
• support vulnerability identification, tracking, and remediation validation
• review user access permissions, security configurations, and compliance controls
• support awareness, incident response, risk management, and security projects
• research cybersecurity tools, threats, and practices
• maintain security documentation, policies, procedures, and audit evidence
• support assessments and compliance reviews
• contribute to security reporting, dashboards, and metrics
• collaborate with IT team members.
